Gizem Saritas Tengu

Gizem Saritas Tengu is currently employed as an Employment Advisor at World Jewish Relief since October 2023, focusing on providing employment support to Ukrainian refugees in the UK through the STEP Ukraine project. Prior to this role, Gizem served as a Supervising Social Worker at Rainbow Fostering Services Ltd. from April 2023 to September 2023, where responsibilities included supporting foster carers and monitoring placements. Gizem's experience also includes a position as a Case Management Officer at Save the Children International from November 2021 to April 2023, leading case management activities for refugee children in Turkey. Previous roles at the Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants (ASAM) included Child Protection Officer and Senior Case Worker, focusing on child protection and gender-based violence interventions. Gizem holds a Master of Arts in Human Rights from Maltepe University, earned between 2020 and 2022, and a degree from Yalova University, completed in 2017.
