Abdurrazaq Abbas has a diverse range of work experience in legal and research roles. In 2017, they were a member of both The Mooting Society University of Lagos and the National Model United Nations. In 2019, Abbas worked as a graduate intern at Bamidele Ibironke & Co and later served as a legal associate at Queens Attorneys LP. In 2020, they became a partner at Free Zone Partners, a role they held until 2021. From 2021 to 2022, Abbas worked as a legal associate at qLegal and as a member of the International Bar Association. In 2022, they became a research assistant in International Economic Law at Queen Mary University of London and a technical advisor at TradeLab - NGO. In 2023, Abbas will begin a legal internship at the World Trade Organization.

Abdurrazaq Abbas has a strong educational background in the field of law. Abdurrazaq obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Lagos, where they studied from 2013 to 2018. Following this, they attended the Nigerian Law School from 2018 to 2019, earning a BL (Bachelor of Law) qualification.

In 2021, Abdurrazaq enrolled at the Queen Mary University of London to pursue their Master of Laws (LLM) degree, specializing in International Economic Law. Abdurrazaq completed this program in 2022. In 2018, they obtained certification in Introduction to Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), UK. In 2021, they received a certification on "The right to privacy in a digital age in Africa" from the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria. Most recently, in 2022, they successfully completed a course on Introduction to the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) offered by the UNCITRAL itself.
