Fanni Barocsi

Communications Lead at World Wildlife Fund

Fanni Barocsi has extensive experience in communications and research. Fanni is currently employed as a Communications Lead at the World Wildlife Fund since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Research and Communications Specialist at the University of Toronto's Data Sciences Institute, where they managed communications, developed and implemented communications plans, conducted market data analysis, and maintained the website and digital channels. Additionally, they served as a Senior Communications and Media Specialist at Save the Children Canada, a Communications Specialist at the World Wildlife Fund, and a Beneficiary Outreach Specialist at the Canadian Red Cross. Fanni Barocsi has a diverse education history. In 2007 to 2008, they pursued Studies in Hungarian Language at the Balassi Institute in Budapest, Hungary. From 2009 to 2013, they attended Brock University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology, Oenology, and Viticulture. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Science Communication and Public Engagement at The University of Edinburgh from 2016 to 2017.

Aside from their formal education, Fanni Barocsi has also obtained additional certifications. In 2021, they received a Certificate in Creative Writing from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
