Marla J. Bright

Marla J. Bright has extensive work experience in various roles involving data management, customer service, and leadership.

Marla's current position is as the Director of Enterprise Data at WorldStrides, where they are responsible for creating and maintaining the Enterprise Data Warehouse and supporting data-driven decision-making processes across multiple divisions.

Prior to this, Marla worked at Alexandria Health Department as a Supervisor, where they led scheduling and registration teams for COVID-19 vaccines and resolved data/service issues at large-scale vaccine clinics.

Marla also worked at National Trust Community Investment Corporation as a Travel Consultant, providing sales and service support to National Trust for Historic Preservation member travelers and improving data accuracy in CRM.

During their time at National Geographic Partners, Marla held various roles, including Director of Business Systems for the Expeditions travel division, Senior Manager of Business Operations, and Manager of Guest Experience and Operations. In these positions, they focused on improving business systems, implementing security changes to protect data privacy, and ensuring high-quality traveler experiences through data analysis and customer feedback.

Marla's earlier experience includes roles at Academic Travel Abroad, where they served as an Account Manager and a Director in the Travel Services Department. Marla J. was responsible for promoting and operating mission-driven trips, achieving sales growth, and improving staff retention.

Additionally, Marla worked as an Assistant Director in the Travel Services Department and as a Tour Communications Specialist and Sales Agent, where they focused on staff management, client satisfaction, and communication with travelers.

Before transitioning to the travel industry, Marla worked as a Database Developer at Bright Mountain Books, Inc., where they developed a custom database for inventory management, invoicing, and financial tracking.

Marla J. Bright holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Business from Oglethorpe University. Marla J. has obtained additional certifications including a Certificate of Business Analytics from Oglethorpe University in 2020 and the Harvard ManageMentor Leading Others certification from Harvard Business Publishing in 2018.
