Mary Howerton

Mary Howerton has extensive work experience at WorldStrides, starting in 2004. Mary began as an Account Manager and later became a Director of Sales for WorldStrides DiscoverNow! In this role, they were responsible for leading a sales team, hiring and training employees, and achieving sales targets. From 2016, they held various roles within the organization, including Vice President/Head of K12 Group New Sales, Executive Vice President of Sales & Account Management, and General Manager of K12 Sales. In their most recent position, they served as the Vice President/Head of K12 Group Sales, overseeing a 75-person sales organization and being responsible for generating a significant portion of the company's revenue.

Mary Howerton earned a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Literature from Wake Forest University between 1982 and 1986. Mary later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the Jack Welch Management Institute from 2015 to 2018. In December 2022, Mary obtained the certification of Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc.
