Lona Sheeran

Lona Sheeran has over 25 years of experience in the clinical research industry. Lona is currently serving as the SVP Clinical Operations Early Phase at Worldwide Clinical Trials, where they are responsible for managing end-to-end clinical trial operations and ensuring the successful delivery of Phase I clinical trials. Lona provides senior-level oversight for projects, including implementation, quality, timelines, budget, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

In 2022, they joined Chief, a private network aimed at empowering women executives and advancing their leadership.

Before their current position, Lona worked as the Clinical Pharmacology Unit Site Head at ICON plc from 2014 to 2019. Prior to that, they were the Owner/CEO of Kickstart Consulting, LLC, where they specialized in operational leadership and people management in the CRO industry.

Lona's previous experience includes roles such as Vice President of Clinical Operations at PRACS INSTITUTE, Site President at Cetero, Clinical Site Director at Celerion, Managing Director at MidWest Research Specialists, Clinical Research Administrator, and Clinical Research Coordinator.

Throughout their career, Lona has consistently demonstrated their expertise in clinical research operations, leadership, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and guidelines.

Lona Sheeran earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from Concordia University-Wisconsin, completing their education from 1991 to 1995.
