Philip Calado

Teacher Of Environmental Science at Worthing College

Philip Calado is an accomplished academic and technician with extensive experience in engineering and environmental science education, as well as semiconductor device research. Currently serving as an Associate Lecturer in the School of Engineering and Innovation at The Open University and a Teacher of Environmental Science at Worthing College, Philip Calado provides academic support, assesses student work, and delivers lessons to enhance learning outcomes. Previous roles include Research Associate at Imperial College London, where Philip Calado developed semiconductor simulation software, conducted theoretical studies, and taught laboratory sessions. Philip Calado's early career involved technical oversight in performing arts at Blatchington Mill School and Steyning Grammar School. Academically, Philip Calado holds a PhD in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Imperial College London, along with a Master’s in Plastic Electronics and a Bachelor’s in Engineering. Philip Calado also possesses a BA in Sound Technology from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.
