Aaron T.

Aaron T. has a diverse background in software engineering, research, and leadership roles. Aaron currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at Woven by Toyota since April 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Engineering Manager at Woven by Toyota from December 2022 to April 2023. Before joining Toyota, Aaron worked at TuSimple from December 2020 to December 2022, where they started as a Software Engineer II and progressed to become a Team Lead. At TuSimple, they focused on middleware and GPU development for level 4 autonomous semi-trucks powered by AI.

Aaron also has experience working at Oracle as a Member of Tech Staff from July 2019 to December 2020. Additionally, they served as a Board Member at CMU U.S.-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association (IEA) from July 2018 to June 2019, where they organized various tech events and career fairs.

Prior to their industry experience, Aaron worked as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2017 to June 2019, conducting research in their field. Aaron also held a Research Assistant position at Harvard University from September 2016 to June 2017, where they worked on optimizing data processing and analyzing query performance. Furthermore, Aaron participated in the UCLA Cross-disciplinary Scholar of Science and Technology (CSST) Program as a Research Assistant from July 2016 to September 2016, receiving recognition for their research work and presentation skills.

In their earlier career, Aaron worked as a Research Assistant at Huazhong University of Science and Technology from August 2015 to June 2016, where they focused on improving load balance in stream processing systems through innovative partitioning schemes. Aaron achieved significant improvements in load imbalance and throughput compared to existing schemes.

Aaron T. has pursued a Bachelor of Engineering - BE degree in Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Aaron has also completed their Undergraduate Study in Computer Science from Harvard University. Additionally, Aaron T. has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University.
