Amir Kibbar

Amir Kibbar has an extensive work history spanning over 25 years. Amir is currently employed as a Staff Software Engineer at Woven Planet, starting in May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Toyota Research Institute as a Software Engineer from January 2017 to May 2022.

Before joining Toyota, Amir worked at HP Software for almost 10 years, starting in January 2008. During their time at HP Software, they held the position of System Architect and was responsible for leading a cloud-based threat intelligence social network product. Amir successfully led the product from inception to production and implemented a transformation from a monolithic architecture to a microservices-based architecture.

Amir's earlier work experience includes roles such as Java Architect at Starhome, Senior Technical Consultant at Tangram Software, and Senior C++ Programmer at ModusNovo. At Starhome, they worked from May 2007 to January 2008, while at Tangram Software, they worked from February 2003 to May 2007. As a Senior Technical Consultant, they provided consulting services to various enterprise organizations, government agencies, and startup companies. Amir also managed multiple development projects and deployed J2EE-based applications in different environments. At ModusNovo, Amir worked as a Senior C++ Programmer, leading the back-end team and implementing a J2EE framework.

Amir's earliest experience dates back to their time at IDF, where they worked from 1996 to 2001. Amir held various roles at IDF, including Head of Oracle DBA Team, Oracle DBA, and VMS System Administrator. As Head of Oracle DBA Team, they oversaw the operations of over 30 country-wide sites with more than 100 databases in the production environment. Amir received commendation from the Lieutenant Colonel for their contributions to the unit.

Amir Kibbar completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they studied Computer Science at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1995, although it is unclear if they obtained a degree from this institution.
