Shaun Krislock

Senior Software Engineer at Woven Planet Holdings

Shaun Krislock has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 1993, they worked as an English Teacher in various locations until 1995. From 1995 to 1996, they served as a Draftsman at Merit Kitchens Ltd. Later, from 1996 to 1999, they worked as a Junior Engineer at the Canadian Plywood Association, conducting tests on wood products and providing technical support.

In 2000, Shaun transitioned into the technology field and joined Blast Radius as a Junior Application Developer. Over the years, they moved up the ranks and took on various roles, including Operations Management Technician, Application Developer, and Senior Application Developer. Shaun led backend development for high-profile clients like Nike, Activision, and Hurley, and was involved in the redesign of the Nike Jordan site.

In 2011, Shaun became a Technical Architect at Blast Radius, where they provided leadership and guidance for technical aspects of account work. Shaun led teams of developers, conducted system analysis, designed system architectures, and collaborated with clients. Shaun left Blast Radius in 2014.

From 2015 to 2021, Shaun joined xMatters, inc as a Java Developer and later transitioned to the role of Technical Team Lead. As a Technical Team Lead, they managed a team of five, focused on REST services, Major Incident Management, and Data Visualization. Shaun was responsible for software development, troubleshooting, administrative work, sprint planning, and performance reviews.

In 2021, Shaun joined Everbridge as a Team Lead and Sr. Java Developer. Shaun worked in this role until 2022 when they joined Woven Planet as a Senior Software Engineer.

Shaun Krislock completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from Queen's University between 1989 and 1993. Shaun further pursued a software development program called "Object Technology Program" at Simon Fraser University in 2000. Additionally, in December 2017, they obtained the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level N2 certification from The Japan Foundation / Japan Educational Exchanges and Services.
