Brian Goldfain

Senior Research Scientist at Woven Planet Holdings

Brian Goldfain has a solid background in research and development, with a particular focus on automated driving and robotics. Starting in 2007, they gained experience as an intern at Micro Motion before moving on to roles as an undergraduate intern and research programmer at the National Robotics Engineering Center / Carnegie Mellon University. In 2011, they joined the Georgia Institute of Technology as a graduate research assistant and later as a PhD student, working on a MURI project. In 2017, they briefly served as an Entrepreneurial Lead at NSF Innovation Corps. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a research scientist at Toyota Research Institute, specializing in planning and controls for automated driving. Most recently, they joined Woven Planet as a Senior Research Scientist in December 2022.

Brian Goldfain attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they studied at Carnegie Mellon University from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
