Hideki Itai

Embedded Software Engineer at Woven Planet Holdings

Hideki Itai has a strong background in software engineering and development. Hideki began their career in 2007 at Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation, where they focused on developing the user interface for customer systems. In 2011 and 2012, they played a key role in launching a semiconductor measurement tool for a HDD maker, leading software development and implementing features to integrate with customer systems.

In 2017, Hideki joined Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer. Hideki was responsible for deploying applications and troubleshooting issues at customer sites, as well as developing functions and software to alleviate the workload of Field Support Engineers. In 2019, they were promoted to Bridge Engineer, bridging the gap between customers and development sites.

Hideki then moved to Hitachi High-Tech Corporation in 2020 as a Software Engineer. Here, they led a project on remote control systems for customer sites, implementing the remote system and establishing operational flows.

Currently, Hideki is working at Woven Planet Holdings as an Embedded Software Engineer. In this role, they lead a small team in architecture design and development for software development process automation tools, with a focus on labor and manpower saving. Additionally, they are responsible for building a CI/CD environment for embedded development.

Hideki Itai received an Intermediate Python Nanodegree from Udacity in May 2021. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, they attended the University of Toyama where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Intellectual Information Engineering.
