Pratik Sutar

Pratik Sutar has extensive experience in software engineering and development. Pratik is currently working as a Software Engineer at Woven Planet Holdings since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Rakuten from October 2016 to March 2021, holding various roles including Team Lead and Tech Lead. At Rakuten, they were responsible for project planning, execution, feasibility checks, and software design decisions. Pratik also mentored new joiners and improved the technology stack to handle increasing user traffic. Before joining Rakuten, Pratik worked as a Software Developer at Credit Suisse from July 2016 to September 2016. Pratik also gained experience as a Data Analytics Intern at Citrus Pay from December 2015 to March 2016, where they worked on real-time distributed computation analysis of payment data. Pratik's earlier experience includes a role as a Lecturer in Physics at Shanket Learning Solutions Pvt Ltd from February 2014 to February 2016. Pratik also worked as a Technical Intern at Credit Suisse, where they developed data analysis tools using Elasticsearch and created meaningful dashboards on Kibana in June 2015. Additionally, Pratik worked as a Technical Intern at Catalyst Labs from January 2015 to April 2015, contributing as an Android developer and integrating various features into the merchant app. Pratik started their career as a Software Developer at Cubez Technocrats from December 2014 to January 2015.

Pratik Sutar completed their Master's degree in Research in ML/NLP at The University of Tokyo from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) between 2012 and 2016. Pratik's education journey began at St. Joseph's High School from 2008 to 2012, where they focused on Information Technology and Science. In addition to their formal education, Pratik acquired certifications in Docker Fundamentals from Rakuten - Docker in February 2018 and in Scrum Master from Rakuten in May 2017.
