Tanay Choudhary

Tanay Choudhary has worked as a Motion Planning Software Engineer at Woven by Toyota since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Robotics Software Engineer at Vecna Robotics from October 2018 to September 2022. Before that, they were a Robotics Software Engineer at Vecna from March 2017 to September 2018. Tanay also gained experience as an R&D Intern at HARMAN International from June 2016 to September 2016, where they focused on exploratory R&D and rapid prototyping for headphones. Tanay has also conducted research as a Research Intern at the Technical University of Darmstadt, where they worked on lower-limb wearable robotics for their bachelor's thesis from February 2015 to May 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad from May 2014 to July 2014, where they designed and tested a rotary Series Elastic Actuator.

Tanay Choudhary has a diverse education history. Tanay began their academic journey in 2002 at Ahlcon International School, where they completed their primary and secondary education. After graduating from high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E. Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, from 2011 to 2015.

Following their undergraduate studies, Tanay Choudhary enrolled at Northwestern University in 2015 to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Robotics, which they completed in 2016.

Aside from their formal education, Tanay Choudhary also sought additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2013, they obtained a certificate in "Control of Mobile Robots" from Coursera. In 2014, they earned an edX Honor Code Certificate for "Autonomous Navigation for Flying Robots." Additionally, in 2020, they completed a Data Structures and Algorithms Nanodegree from Udacity. Most recently, in 2022, they obtained a certification in "Modern C++ Concurrency: Get the most out of any machine" from Educative, Inc.
