Automotive Software Expert at Woven Planet Holdings

Waleed Kadry has a strong background in software engineering and automotive technology. waleed started their career in 2004 as an R&D Development Engineer at Engineering Office for Integrated Projects (EOIP). From there, they moved to the Egyptian Telephone Company (QuickTel) in 2006, where they worked as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in the R&D department. At QuickTel, Waleed was involved in all stages of the software lifecycle and customized Qualcomm CDMA module software to fit with QuickTel's hardware design.

In 2010, Waleed joined El Sewedy Electrometer Group as an Embedded Software Team Leader in the R&D department. waleed managed multiple projects simultaneously and built a smart meter platform, which served various tenders. waleed also tracked and led the embedded software team members and ensured the completion of project documentation.

In 2012, Waleed transitioned to Intel Corporation, where they worked as a Component Expert in the R&D department. waleed specialized in the E-RRC layer of the long-term evolution (LTE) protocol stack and significantly improved the bug rate within a short period.

In 2014, Waleed joined Valeo as a Chief Engineer. waleed served as a software architect on two electrical machine projects in the powertrain systems department and built a reusable architecture for a platform that was utilized by multiple other projects. waleed also worked as a Senior Team Leader in the visibility and lighting system department, managing team members and conducting performance appraisal meetings.

Currently, Waleed is working at Woven Planet Holdings as an Automotive Software Expert, starting in 2022.

Waleed Kadry obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, starting in 1999 and completing in 2004. In addition, they obtained a certification in FS Eng (TÜV Rheinland, #21784/ 21, Automotive) from TÜV SÜD in March 2021.
