John Boline

Vice President - Store Design at Starbucks Corporation

John Boline has a diverse work experience in the field of architecture and design. John started their career as a Project Designer at MulvannyG2 Architecture from 2000 to 2005. Later, they worked as a Project Architect at GGLO from 2005 to 2007, where they managed relationships and ensured project goals were met. From 2007 onwards, John joined Starbucks and held various roles, including Vice President - Store Design and Senior Director, Design - China. In these roles, they focused on elevating the coffee culture and experience through innovative design, furniture, and brand guidelines. Additionally, John served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Tongji University from 2015 to 2016, where they taught the importance of design in delivering a unique customer experience.

John Boline has a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a focus on Environmental Design from North Dakota State University. John is also a Registered Architect in Idaho, Nevada, and Washington State. John obtained their registration in Washington State in 2006 and recently obtained their registrations in Idaho and Nevada in 2022.
