Mike Prescott

Mike Prescott has a diverse work experience in the field of Information Technology, spanning over several years. Mike is currently serving as the Group Information Technology Director at WS Transportation since March 2023. Prior to this, Mike worked as an IT Consultant at the same company from November 2022 to March 2023.

Before joining WS Transportation, Mike held the role of COO at White Star IT, starting in December 2007. Mike has also worked as the Group IT Director - Service Ops and Infrastructure at Culina Group Limited, from October 2021 to November 2022. In addition, Mike served as the Head of IT at Eddie Stobart from December 2020 to November 2022 and as the Contract Head of IT at UCFB from November 2019 to December 2020.

Previously, Mike acted as the Head of IT Operations at TransUnion UK from March 2018 to September 2019. Mike also held the position of Head of Global Operating Systems at Premier Farnell from February 2017 to March 2018.

Before that, Mike worked as the Head of IT | Ops and Infrastructure at Maplin, where they led a team of IT support technicians responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and monitoring the entire business environment. Mike'stenure at Maplin spanned from October 2013 to February 2017.

Prior to Maplin, Mike served as the IT/Service Desk Manager at IQUS Ltd from April 2011 to October 2013. Mike started their career as an IT Manager at Legal and Receivables in April 2008, where they worked until April 2011.

Throughout their career, Mike has gained expertise in various aspects of IT management and operations, making him a well-rounded professional in the field.

Mike Prescott attended Haydock High School from 1994 to 1999. After completing high school, they enrolled at Carmel College from 1999 to 2001, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Later on, Mike pursued higher education at Liverpool John Moores University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Mike Prescott has obtained several certifications. In 2009, they earned the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification and the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Messaging certification. Two years later, in 2011, Mike obtained the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) certification.
