Lirong Yang

Lirong Yang has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and development. They have worked as a Process Scientist at WuXi Advanced Therapies since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Process Development Scientist at Celularity, Inc. from October 2020 to December 2021. Lirong also served as a Formulation Scientist at Ascendia from September 2019 to October 2020 and as a Formulation Scientist at Enesi Pharma Limited from November 2018 to April 2019. They gained expertise as a Research Associate at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from October 2017 to September 2018 and as a Research Scientist at the University of Florida from December 2013 to December 2016. Lirong also worked as a Research Scientist at the Engineering Research Center, University of Arkansas from July 2011 to November 2013 and as a Research Scientist at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research from December 2010 to June 2011. They started their career as a Research Scientist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Faculty of Life Sciences in April 2005 and continued until November 2010. Lirong began their professional journey as a Pharmaceutical Engineer at Debiopharm SA in February 2001 and worked until February 2005.

Lirong Yang attended EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 1996 to 2001, where they obtained a Master of Sciences in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Biotechnology. Later, from 2005 to 2010, Lirong Yang pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Sciences biomédicales, général at the same institution, EPFL.
