David Baron

David Baron is an accomplished author and journalist with extensive experience in science communication. Currently an author at W. W. Norton & Company, Inc., David has published significant works including *The Beast in the Garden* (2003) and *American Eclipse* (2017), with a forthcoming book on Mars set for 2025. David's expertise in astrobiology was highlighted during a brief tenure as the Baruch S. Blumberg Chair at the US Library of Congress. Previous roles include Scholar in Residence at the University of Colorado Boulder, Health & Science Editor for WGBH, and producer for the NPR series *Shifting Ground*. With a strong educational background that includes studies at Yale University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, David has also contributed to NPR as both a Science Correspondent and Science Editor, alongside various teaching and research positions in journalism.
