Chris Olesen, CPA

Chris Olesen, CPA has a long history of work experience. Chris has been working in the accounting and finance industry since 2011. Chris started their career as an Intern at Merrill Lynch in 2011 and then worked as a Fund Accountant at State Street in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Compliance Auditor at Lindquist LLP and then as an Assurance Associate and Assurance Senior at BPM (Burr Pilger Mayer) from 2014 to 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Internet Brands as an Accounting Supervisor and Accounting Manager. Most recently, they have been working as a Global Accounting and Financial Reporting Manager and Global Assistant Controller at WWP Beauty since 2021. In 2011, they also held the role of President of the Chico State Finance Association, a California State University organization with 45+ paying members. In this role, they were responsible for leading the organization and delegating tasks to ensure efficient operations and a quality organization for their members. Chris also organized and presented weekly meetings to prepare members for careers in finance.

Chris Olesen, CPA has an extensive educational background. Chris obtained a Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Economics from California State University-Chico between 2007 and 2012. Chris then went on to complete a Master of Science in Accounting from Saint Mary's College of California between 2013 and 2014. Finally, in October 2016, they obtained a CPA certification from the California Board of Accountancy.
