John Humphries

John Humphries is an experienced media executive currently serving as President and General Manager of WYFF since July 2016. Prior to this role, John held similar positions at WGAL from December 2012 to June 2016 and served as Director of Sales at WYFF 4/WYFF4.com from 2006 to 2012. Earlier in John's career, significant positions included General Sales Manager at WBTV Charlotte from 2001 to 2005 and at WSPA from 1997 to 2001. John's media journey began as a Production/Sports Reporter, Account Executive, and Sales Manager at WSOC-TV, lasting 18 years from 1979 to 1997. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech from Appalachian State University, graduating in 1979.
