Xuan Zhao

Xuan Zhao has a strong work experience in research roles, with a focus on user research and product strategy. Xuan's most recent position was as the Senior Director, Head of Research at Wyze, starting in June 2023. Prior to that, Xuan worked as the Head of Research at SmartNews, where they built and led a team of mixed-method researchers to identify retention drivers for the news app in the US market. Xuan also held research leadership roles at Instagram, Airbnb, and Robinhood, where they contributed to the development of various product verticals and conducted strategic impact analysis. Xuan has also worked as a Visiting Scholar at Microsoft and IBM, as well as a UX Researcher at Facebook. Overall, Xuan's experience spans across multiple industries and highlights their expertise in driving research-driven product strategies.

Xuan Zhao has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Shandong University. They also have a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human-computer interaction from Cornell University. Currently, Xuan Zhao is pursuing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Science from the University of Michigan - School of Information.
