Brent Hehl has a solid background in business development and drug discovery. Brent currently serves as the Senior Director of Business Development - Drug Discovery at X-Chem, Inc., where they are responsible for establishing partnerships and incorporating DNA-Encoded Library technology into discovery efforts. Before that, they worked at Eurofins Discovery as the Director of Global Business Development, where they led the design and execution of screening assays and bioassays for drug discovery programs. Brent also held the role of Associate Director of Business Development at ChemPartner and was a Business Development Manager at DiscoveRx and Gentris Corporation. Additionally, Brent has research experience as a Predoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, where they focused on actin and actin-binding protein dynamics.
Brent Hehl pursued their education in a systematic manner, starting with their undergraduate studies. From 2004 to 2008, they attended Grand Valley State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. Following their undergraduate studies, they aimed to deepen their knowledge in the field of pharmacology. Therefore, from 2011 to 2012, they enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they completed their Master of Science degree in Pharmacology.
