Sergei Schurov

Sergei Schurov has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Sergei began their career as a Senior Projects Engineer at Cosworth Technology in 1997. From 2001 to 2005, they served as the Technical Director at NextGen Sciences. In 2005, they joined PRTM Management Consultants as a Senior Manager, where they provided strategic advice to international clients and led operational initiatives. In 2008, they became the Director of Research Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific, overseeing industrial process control and analytical research instruments. In 2011, Schurov joined Georg Fischer AG as the Head of R&D EDM, responsible for rebuilding and leading a high-performing team. Sergei later became the Chief Technology Officer, coordinating research and development functions and leading stakeholder engagements. Currently, Schurov holds the position of Vice President of Research and Development at X-Rite, where they lead new product and technology development.

Sergei Schurov attended Yaroslavl State Technical University (YSTU) where they obtained a Diploma Engineer (Honours) in Automotive control and automation systems. Later, they joined the University of Cambridge and completed a PhD in Experimental and computational fluid dynamics between 1992 and 1995. Finally, in 2004 and 2005, Sergei Schurov pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship and New Business Development at the University of Cambridge.
