Nina Kotsopoulou

Chief Technical Officer at Xap Therapeutics

Nina Kotsopoulou has extensive work experience in the biotechnology industry. Nina currently holds the position of Chief Technical Officer at Xap Therapeutics, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Orchard Therapeutics, where they held the roles of Senior Vice President and Vice President for Cell and Gene Therapy Technologies from January 2020 to July 2022.

Before joining Orchard Therapeutics, Nina held the position of Head of Process Development at Autolus Ltd. from June 2015 to December 2019. Nina'searlier experience includes working at GlaxoSmithKline as the Director of Process Development for Advanced Therapies Delivery from March 2012 to June 2015, and as the Head of Cell Line Development for BioPharm R&D from 2005 to 2012.

Nina Kotsopoulou began their career as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge's Department of Haematology, CIMR from February 2002 to March 2005. Nina also worked as a Post-doctorate Fellow at Harvard Medical School from March 2000 to December 2001.

Nina Kotsopoulou obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Retrovirus Molecular Biology at the University of Oxford, which they completed from 1996 to 2000.
