Martin Akins

Martin Akins serves as a member of the Board of Directors for XBP Europe, Exela Technologies, and Defender Pharmaceuticals, holding various leadership roles, including Chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees for each organization. Akins has an extensive legal background, previously functioning as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Express Scripts for over 18 years, along with roles at Polsinelli, Shalton & Welte, P.C. and Thompson Coburn LLP. Akins holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
