Lian-She Zhao

Lian-Lian-She Zhao has over 30 years of experience in the software engineering and bioinformatics fields. Lian-She began their career in 1991 as an Assistant Scientist at Caltech, where they published papers which can be downloaded from www.ZhaoAlgorithms.com. In 1993, they moved on to become a Research Associate at the University of Texas at Austin - Institute for Geophysics, where they also published papers which can be downloaded from www.ZhaoAlgorithms.com. In 1996, they became a Member of Technical Staff at Molecular Dynamics. In 1999, they were promoted to Senior Software Engineer at Gene Logic, Inc. In 2000, they were promoted to Director of BioInformatics and Data Analysis at Lumicyte, Inc. In 2003, they moved on to become a Staff Software Engineer at Fluidigm Coorporation. In 2006, they were promoted to Senior Software Engineer at ForteBio. In 2018, they moved on to become a Senior Principal Engineer at Deepcell, Inc. Finally, in 2021, they were promoted to Director of Software Engineering at Xcell Biosciences. Matrix and graphic library were written in javascript; fitting library was written in Typescript.

Lian-Lian-She Zhao obtained a BSc in Geophysics from the University of Science and Technology of China between 1977 and 1981. Lian-She then earned a Master of Science in Geophysics from the Institute of Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences between 1982 and 1985. Finally, they obtained their Ph.D in Geophysics from Caltech between 1986 and 1991. In addition, they also have a certificate in Introduction to Genomic Technologies from Coursera Course Certificates which they obtained in May 2016.
