How you’ll make an impact

Help create and implement best in class strategies across key content marketing and social channels, including YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and TikTok. The strategy will help ensure that channels are used to their full potential and support accelerating our current and future customers' confidence in choosing and using Xero through the customer lifecycle, ensuring  they are able to unleash the potential of Xero to improve their business.  

You’ll lead a team and influence through a clear compelling strategy and work with key stakeholders on implementation. You will develop a strong operating model that is scalable, collaborative and measurable. 

You’ll work to bring the strategy to life through meaningful content campaigns that are prioritised around business objectives and customer growth. You will help elevate the internal brand of the Content Marketing team and ensure that there is effective measurement and reporting in place.

What you’ll do

  • Drive a compelling global content channel and social strategy that supports improved usage and engagement among potential and existing Xero customers
  • Design a governance framework that is clear and well communicated across the business to ensure that the channels are effectively and strategically used globally
  • Hold responsibility for the management and governance of all social media channels
  • Create scalable procedures, measurement practices and templates
  • Be highly collaborative in developing the strategy and process around key channels
  • Enable across the Content Marketing team with hands on engagement and innovation
  • Work with and influence stakeholders, encouraging alignment and collaboration
  • Help to manage change across the Content Marketing team
  • Actively monitor content production and help teams improve with recommendations on improvements and alignment to strategy
  • Lead and coach a team of professionals around the globe

  • Xero has a clear, compelling and “global first” content marketing channel and social media strategy in place
  • ROI for channels is well defined and shows improvement with correlation to strategy implementation in short and long term
  • Teams adopt and use strategy for improved stakeholder outcomes
  • The Content Marketing team is recognized as positively impacting key channels through improved metrics and best in class execution
  • The social team is collaborating effectively and change management is a priority to ensure there is high impact operating model
  • The Content Marketing team is engaged in key initiatives that are aligned to driving positive business outcomes (i.e., 3x3 strategy etc.)

What you’ll bring with you

  • Senior content marketer, social media and team leadership experience
  • Channel strategy development and implementation, including YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and blogs
  • A demonstrable record of success and excellent communication skills
  • Leveraging data to form compelling strategic recommendations
  • Designing and implementing best in class processes to operationalize teams and streamline workflows
  • Instilling confidence in stakeholders with data and effective measurement practices
  • Aligning, setting and executing on global strategy and managing through to business outcomes
  • Working with global cross functional teams
