Joseph Freitas

Joseph Freitas I MBA, CPA, CMA, FPAC, CSCA, LSSGB, CSCP has extensive experience in finance and accounting roles. Joseph is currently the Vice President of Finance & Accounting at Xpress Global Systems (XGS), where they are responsible for managing financial operations. Prior to this role, Joseph served as the President of Strategic CFO Partners LLC, where they provided strategic financial guidance to clients. Joseph also worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Trailer Bridge, overseeing financial planning and analysis. Joseph spent a significant portion of their career at Kenco Group, where they held the position of Vice President Corporate Finance. In this role, they were responsible for developing financial strategies, implementing financial controls, and providing finance education to the organization. Before joining Kenco Group, Joseph worked at Volkswagen of America, Inc in various financial planning and analysis roles, where they played a key role in the startup of a new manufacturing plant and implemented financial processes and reporting systems.

Joseph Freitas Ⅰ holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Joseph furthered their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Finance. In addition to their formal education, Joseph has acquired several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Joseph is a certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and holds the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). Joseph also earned the FP&A Certified Corporate FP&A Professional designation from the Association for Financial Professionals and is certified as a Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) by APICS. Joseph has obtained the CSCA Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis certification from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) as well. Joseph completed the Wharton's Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program: Scaling Your Business and The CFO: Becoming a Strategic Partner programs from Wharton Executive Education. Joseph also completed the Negotiation Mastery program from Harvard Business School. Additionally, Joseph holds the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) certification from Kenco Group.
