David Boulton

David Boulton has extensive work experience in various positions. David started their career in the Royal Navy as an Information Systems Engineer and later became an Instructor in the same field. David then transitioned to the role of Strategic Missile Officer and subsequently served as the Deputy Programme Manager/Weapons Engineer in the CBRN Pol department, where they were responsible for formulating policies to counter Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear threats. David then joined CACI - Network Services as a Network Engineer and Team Leader, managing technical engineers and overseeing project delivery. Following this, they worked at Atos Consulting as a Senior Information Security Consultant, where they managed business and operational risks, delivered security auditing services, and provided technical security consultancy. Currently, David is the Head of Cyber Security at XPS Pensions Group.

David Boulton has a strong educational background in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. David obtained a Master of Science degree in Cyber Security from Northumbria University between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science degree in Engineering & Management from the University of Portsmouth in 2013-2014. In 2002-2005, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Management at Cranfield University.

In addition to their formal education, David Boulton has obtained several certifications that further enhance their expertise in cybersecurity and related fields. These certifications include the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2021, the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2018, the ISO27001:2013 Lead Auditor from IT Governance Ltd in 2017, Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council in 2016, and CCNA Security from Cisco in the same year, among others. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to staying current and knowledgeable in the field of cybersecurity.
