Diego A. Cortés J. has worked in the field of data engineering since 2006. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Teacher Assistant at the Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito, where they supported laboratory users, implemented software applications for the lab using Java and HTML, and supported students in Mathematical Logic classes. In 2009, they began working at Teradata as a Technical/Functional Leader for Telefonica Colombia, where they created the Functional Mapping between data sources and the Business Data Model, supported business users in Acceptance Testing, and designed strategies for DWH data ingestion. Diego A. also worked as a Technical Leader for Interbank Perú, a PS Consultant for Sura Colombia, a PS Consultant for Telefonica España, and a PS Consultant for HSBC Argentina. In 2017, they began working at Globant as a Senior Software Designer Business Intelligence, where they implemented the Datawarehouse for the Inter-American Development Bank and The Walt Disney Company, gathered requirements and translated them to technical specifications, built ETLs to load data from Data Sources to Dimensional Models, and designed solutions to automate the data flow through all the data Layers. In 2018, they became a Technical Lead Business Intelligence at Kramp, where they designed and implemented the DataWarehouse in Teradata and Google Big Query, defined Data Architecture, ingested data in near real-time from the Source Systems to GBQ using the CDC tool Striim, and migrated DWH Solution from Teradata to Google Cloud Platform using the GBQ Transfer Services. Currently, they are a Lead Data Engineer at Xseed Solutions, where they are implementing a Datawarehouse in Snowflake with activities such as Data Architecture definition, ingesting data in near real-time from the Source Systems to Snowflake using Stitch and Segment tools, implementing Data Transformations using DBT and Snowflake, developing Customer and Internal Reports using Looker, and researching the application of ML for decision trees.

Diego A. Cortés J. obtained a System Engineer degree from Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito between 2002 and 2008.
