Jon Mitchell

Jon Mitchell has work experience in various engineering roles. Jon worked as a systems engineer at XSITE LLC, providing model-based systems engineering support on various projects and managing requirements for PMW 160. At Bruin Spacecraft Group at UCLA, they served as a mechanical design member overseeing the project to build a modular ground control station for high-altitude balloon launches. While at the UCLA Plasma & Space Propulsion Laboratory (PSPL), they worked as an electrospray research assistant and designed an electrospray apparatus for simulation and modeled a circuit board for accurate measurements. Finally, while at the Rocket Project at UCLA, Jon served as an airframe team member and assisted in constructing and integrating aluminum fins into the airframe of a liquid bi-propellant rocket for competition.

Jon Mitchell obtained their Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from UCLA from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they studied at MiraCosta College from 2015 to 2018, earning an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree in Liberal Arts - Math and Science. Jon has also obtained several certifications, including STK Level 1 Certification from AGI (Analytical Graphics, Inc.) in October 2021, Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from Aveta Business Institute in January 2021, and CRLA Level 2 Certification from MiraCosta College in December 2017.
