Flight Test Manager at Xwing

Craig M. has a diverse work experience in the field of flight test operations and engineering. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Design and Flight Test Engineer for the ERAU Green Flight Challenge Team at the Eagle Flight Research Center. In 2012, they joined the National Test Pilot School as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they focused on projects involving flight test engineering and also served as a project engineer and instructor pilot for NTPS' Optionally Piloted Aircraft.

In 2015, Craig M. joined Lockheed Martin as a Flight Test Engineer, where they held multiple roles on various programs within the Advanced Development Programs, Skunk Works (R). From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Flight Test Engineer in the same company.

Since 2019, Craig M. has been working at Xwing as a Flight Test Engineer, where they played a crucial role as the Lead Flight Test Engineer. Their responsibilities included planning, scheduling, coordinating, and executing ground tests, flight tests, and aircraft maintenance and modifications. Craig also had additional duties, such as authoring policies, procedures, and training materials for Xwing's experimental aircraft operations and maintenance. Currently, they are serving as the Manager of Flight Test Operations at Xwing.

Craig M. has a strong education background in aerospace and flight testing. Craig attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Flight Testing and Simulation. Following that, from 2012 to 2014, they attended the National Test Pilot School, completing a Master of Science degree in Flight Test Engineering. During their time at the National Test Pilot School, they also graduated from the Test Pilot School program with a specialization in Rotary Wing Flight Test Engineering.

In addition to their academic achievements, Craig M. also holds two certifications. In March 2022, they obtained a Commercial Pilot certification for Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL) with Instrument rating from the Federal Aviation Administration. Furthermore, in April 2020, they obtained a Commercial Remote Pilot certification for Small Unmanned Aircraft System (Part 107) from the same authority.
