Jim Franzel

Jim Franzel has an extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Jim started their career in 1993 as a Test/Product Engineer at Persoft Technologies, where they led testing cycles for software and hardware network products. From 1998 to 2000, they worked as a Senior Quality Engineer at Avstar Technologies, responsible for the overall quality and product releases of digital video editing and on-air playback systems for television newsrooms.

In 2000, Franzel joined Embarcadero Technologies as a Quality Assurance and Release Manager. Jim supervised quality assurance testing teams and managed releases and special projects related to C++, Java, and database modeling software. Jim also supervised engineers and handled tasks like hiring, work delegation, and performance reviews.

In 2007, they transitioned to BluePhoenix Solutions, initially as a Senior Project/Program Manager and later becoming the VP Worldwide Presales. In these roles, they managed projects, developed test cases and plans, and supported alpha and beta field testing.

Since 2011, Franzel has been working at Xyleme, Inc. Jim started as the Director of Platform Development, Quality, and Delivery and later moved up to become the VP Engineering.

Jim Franzel attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
