David Chiu

David Chiu has a strong background in information technology and innovation. David is currently the Head of Technology and Innovation at Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd., where they focus on creating harmonious relationships between humans and machines. Prior to this, David held roles as the Sr. Director of Information Technology at Canada Goose and the Senior Manager of Information Technology at Shoppers Drug Mart. David also served as the Director of Information Technology at East Penn Canada, where they led the implementation of key capital IT projects to support rapid organizational growth. David began their career as a Network Systems Operator at the Markham Public Library before moving on to roles such as Project Manager at Power Battery Sales Ltd and Implementation Project Manager at Quartet Service Corporation. Overall, David brings extensive experience in IT leadership and project management to their current role.

David Chiu has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Information Technology Management from Ryerson University, which they obtained from 2000 to 2002. David also has a Bachelor of Arts Admnistration and Information Management degree in Information Technology from Ryerson University, which they received from 1996 to 2000. In 2007, they completed a degree in e-Business Management with a focus on eCommerce from the University of Toronto. David Chiu has also completed several professional development programs, including Leading through Change at Schulich ExecEd in 2014, The Comprehensive Project Management Workshop at Canadian Management Centre in 2012, and Making the Transition to Management at Canadian Management Centre in 2009.
