Nikita Vinokurov

Nikita Vinokurov is a Staff ML Engineer at Yandex since May 2023, focusing on R&D in the computer vision department, specifically in large generative models for text-to-video and text-to-image applications. Previously, as an ML Engineer and Tech Lead at GoodNotes, Nikita developed an online handwriting recognition engine in 14 languages. Nikita co-founded Robonomica, leading the development of a fuel consumption optimization product for heavy machinery. Extensive experience also includes roles as an ML Scientist at Sputnik.ru, contributing to projects in speech recognition, trademark retrieval, and search technologies, alongside independent contracting for major companies such as Gazprom and Eksmo. Nikita's academic background includes a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Higher School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Kazan State University.
