Maxim Glagolev

Maxim Glagolev is an accomplished leader with over a decade of expertise in the technology, mobility, energy, and education sectors. As Head of Operations for Yango Ride MENAP (Middle East and Pakistan), he drives strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, expanding market reach, and elevating customer experience across diverse regions.

Prior to joining Yango, Maxim joined Yandex Taxi in 2020 as the Head of Driver Retention, where he led initiatives such as developing gig worker benefits, fintech solutions for drivers, and loyalty projects. He later transitioned to Yandex Practicum, Yandex's EdTech business, where he served as Chief Business Development Officer. In this role, he focused on B2B and B2G strategies, growth initiatives, and market expansion.

Maxim is also the co-founder of LGDeal, a B2B marketplace specialising in lab-grown diamonds, and Geeklama Coding School, an EdTech startup offering coding courses for children. His early career includes senior positions in energy and technology, including as COO at SmartSnow, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing profitability and market position. He also contributed to a major joint venture with Gazprom and worked on an augmented reality startup, demonstrating his versatility in managing large-scale projects.

Maxim holds an M.Phil. in Energy Management from the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, a postgraduate degree in International Leadership from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School, and has participated in a prestigious research program funded by Stanford University through the Stanford U.S.-Russia Forum on Energy Geopolitics. Additionally, he holds BSc and MSc degrees in Energy Systems from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. Maxim’s blend of operational expertise and academic background establishes him as a strong leader with a focus on efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth.
