Arunn Thevapalan

Arunn Thevapalan is a Data Scientist with experience in the fields of data privacy, synthetic data, data-centric AI, retail, and machine learning. Arunn began their career in 2017 as a Software Engineering Intern at Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd. and a Data Analytics Intern at Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. In 2018, they became a Machine Learning Engineer at Trabeya where they were responsible for researching, prototyping, modelling, and deploying AI-suite products. In 2019, they were a Software Product Sprint Developer at Google and in 2020, they were a Senior Data Scientist at John Keells Holdings PLC and a Mentor at OpenMined. Currently, they are a Data Scientist at YData where they are building use cases and founding the Data-Centric AI Community.

Arunn Thevapalan has completed a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Management of Technology from the University of West London in 2020. Arunn also holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur, which they completed in 2018. In 2021, Arunn completed a Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity. In 2020, they completed a Data Scientist Nanodegree and a Computer Vision Nanodegree from Udacity. Additionally, Arunn has obtained numerous certifications from institutions such as Google Cloud - Minnesota, McKinsey & Company, IBM, LinkedIn, Project Management Institute, Coursera, University of Michigan, and Google Cloud Platform Certified.
