Ian Morai has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Web Master for 4 Real Comic, where they were responsible for programming and managing the website. In 2013, they worked as a 3D Animator for Newbreed Visual Effects on a contract for Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, applying mocap animations and managing assets. Later in 2013, they joined Ubisoft as a 3D Animator, continuing their work on Assassin's Creed: Black Flag in a cinematic animator role.

Moving forward, in 2014, Ian Morai worked as a Junior 3D Animator for Ubisoft on Assassin's Creed Unity, where they focused on crowd-life and systemic gameplay animation, as well as asset management. In 2015, they joined Spearhead Games as an Animator/Rigger for Stories: The Path of Destinies, where they handled animation, technical rigging, integration of animations in the engine, and light logic programming.

In the same year, Ian Morai returned to Ubisoft and worked as a Gameplay Animator on Far Cry Primal, contributing to the development of systemic facial animation systems and working on hit reactions and death animations for various non-playable characters. Ian also worked as a Gameplay Animator on Watch_Dogs 2, focusing on locomotion systems for combat AI and civilian NPCs, as well as AI combat animations for aiming behind cover.

From 2017 to 2022, Ian Morai worked at Electronic Arts (EA), first as an Animator for Star Wars: Battlefront 2, where they created animations for scripted events, scripted AI, AI navigation, and ambient crowd life. Ian also handled integration and management of animations within the levels via schematic scripting and animation state machines. Later, they took on the role of Senior Narrative Design Game Designer, contributing to games such as Dead Space and Star Wars: Squadrons. In this position, they designed and implemented features and systems for gameplay, in-game cinematics, character AI, ambient crowd life, game flow, and scripted events.

In 2022, Ian Morai joined Gasket Games Corp. as a Senior Level Designer, where they worked on 3C's gameplay and controls for main characters, AI and combat behaviors within UE5's Behavior Tree alongside programming, and core level design, flow, scripting, and architecture.

Currently, Ian Morai is working as a Technical Level Designer at Yellow Brick Games Inc., starting in November 2022, where they continue to bring their expertise and experience to the gaming industry.

Ian Morai completed their education at Dawson College, where they first pursued a degree in Illustration and Design from 2007 to 2009. After that, they furthered their studies at the same institution, specializing in 3D Animation and CGI, from 2010 to 2012. No specific field of study was mentioned for either degree program.
