Action Lab Leader at YLabs

Maryam Wangeshi is an emerging professional with a diverse background in architecture, sustainability, and community engagement. Currently serving as an Architect Intern at UN-Habitat, Maryam focuses on sustainable energy practices and initiatives. Additional roles include membership in the ISACA Kenya Chapter's Special Programmes Committee, leadership as a Youth Climate Leader with C40 Cities, and involvement as an Action Lab Leader at YLabs advocating for climate resilience. Maryam also participates in several global initiatives, such as the Women Rising program, serving as an ambassador for Kushite ICP.Hub East Africa, and representing youth perspectives in education advocacy with Theirworld and the World Literacy Foundation. Academic qualifications include Bachelor's degrees in Architectural Studies and Architecture from Kenyatta University, complemented by training in web development from eMobilis Technology Training Institute.
