James McLeod

Director Of Community Finos at Yocto Project

James McLeod has a diverse background in software engineering and community management. James is currently the Founder Organizer of London.js and has been in that role since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Community for FINOS starting in September 2019. James also served as the Open Source Maintainer for "The Untold Stories of Open Source" Podcast from June 2022 to November 2022. Additionally, they were the Founder Organizer of React London - Bring Your Own Project from August 2016 to May 2022. Before their current roles, James worked as a Software Engineering Lead at Lloyds Banking Group from June 2017 to August 2019. James also held positions as the Senior Manager of Experience Technology at Publicis Sapient from November 2013 to June 2017 and as a Freelance Software Engineering Lead at Narvi Digital Media from December 2009 to November 2013. James began their career as a Team Leader and Line Manager at Madgex from January 2008 to December 2009, followed by roles as a Senior Consultant at Graphico from September 2007 to January 2008 and as a Team Leader and Mentor at HotLizard from February 2007 to September 2007.

James McLeod attended the University of Westminster from 1996 to 1999, where they received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, they obtained several certifications from The Linux Foundation, including being a speaker at various events such as the Open Source Strategy Forum NYC in 2021 and the Open Source in Finance Forum in London and New York in 2022.
