Martijn Wecke

Martijn Wecke has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on driving business transformations and organizational growth. Martijn currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for Europe at Yokogawa, leading the European HR team and supporting the business transformation process. Prior to this role, they held positions at Tech Data Europe, where they directed HR operations and managed a crucial business transformation. Martijn also served as the Director of Human Resources for the trade regions of Benelux, Nordics, East, Switzerland, and Ireland. Before joining Tech Data, Martijn worked at Ricoh Nederland as a Director of HR and Business Excellence, overseeing transformational change and proposing principles for organizational growth. Martijn also had experience managing a commercial business unit. Martijn started their career at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG as a Human Resources Manager, where they were responsible for restructuring compensation and benefits, managing industrial relations, introducing change management, and navigating cultural differences. Prior to their time at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, they worked as a Human Resources Professional on various projects in the private and governmental sectors.

Martijn Wecke obtained a BA in Human Resources Management from the University of Applied Sciences HAN, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, they pursued Colloquial Generic Applied Technologies from the University of applied Technical Studies Utrecht from 1989 to 1990. In 1996 to 1998, Martijn completed studies in Human Resources Management at the Open Universiteit, although no degree was specified. Additionally, they obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Presentation & Public Speaking from Frijters, Pieter in 2018, Certified Change Management Practitioner & Trainer from Prosci in 2017, and Investigation Techniques & Interviewing (ethics & compliancy) from Tech Data in 2016.
