Deepthi Nair

Deepthi Nair has a diverse range of work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information management. Their most recent role was as the Director of Cybersecurity & Information Management at Yooralla, where they were responsible for developing and implementing a cybersecurity strategy and managing the organization's response to cybersecurity threats. Prior to that, they worked as a Portfolio Security Advisor at the Department of Transport and Planning, providing strategic guidance and risk advice to various business streams. Deepthi has also held leadership positions at Bank of Queensland, Victorian Department of Health, Aurecon, and Accenture, where they provided strategic direction and guidance in managing cybersecurity programs and ensuring compliance with security standards. Deepthi has experience in working with diverse stakeholders and driving security outcomes through influence. Additionally, Deepthi has worked in technical roles at RMIT University, GE Capital, Wipro Technologies, and Mphasis Australia Pty Ltd., where they gained hands-on experience in software engineering and technical leadership.

Deepthi Nair obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics from the University of Kerala, completing their studies from 1999 to 2002. Deepthi then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Applications from Bharathiar University, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. In terms of additional certifications, Deepthi acquired various credentials, including a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in 2017, an ITIL Foundation certification in 2009, and several Splunk certifications in 2018. Deepthi also obtained certifications from Sun Microsystems, including the SCWCD certification in 2007 and the SCJP certification in 2006. Additionally, Deepthi holds certifications as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2019 and a Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in 2021.
