April Lehman

April Lehman began their work experience in 2005 at Google as a L4 Software Engineer and worked their way up to become a Principal Engineer. During their time at Google, they worked on search ranking, evaluation, content understanding, and recommendations. In 2021, April joined YouTube as a Principal Engineer, where they led a team of 10 to over 100 in a project focused on on-device media processing, visual effects, full stack feature development, and applied ML. April is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at YouTube starting from February 2023.

April Lehman completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science at Dartmouth College from 1995 to 1999. April then pursued their Phd in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2005.
