Ginger Phillips has a diverse range of work experience in the field of business analysis and quality assurance. Ginger started their career in 2002, working as a QA Analyst for The Phillips Family until 2010. During this time, they gained experience in testing web application UI.
From 2010 to 2012, Ginger worked as a Senior QA Analyst at Renaissance Medical Management Company, where they completed a short-term contract project involving testing a web application UI written in .NET.
In 2012, Ginger joined SeaChange International as a Senior QA Analyst. Here, they developed automated test cases using PERL for the TiVO product on a LINUX Platform. Ginger also tested software in both Agile SCRUM and Waterfall environments, specifically in a video server environment delivering video on demand to cable companies.
From 2012 to 2013, Ginger worked as a Senior QA Analyst at Cross MediaWorks, where they introduced the IT Development team to Agile methodology and led the initial sprints. Ginger created user stories in TFS and facilitated sprint planning meetings and burndown sessions.
In 2013, Ginger joined AcademyOne, Inc. as a Senior QA Analyst, where they introduced QA in the SDLC and performed various QA tasks for the IT Department across multiple projects.
From 2014 to 2015, Ginger worked as a Senior QA Consultant for Zonoff and Comcast. At Zonoff, they regressed a Smart Home Automation device on a Consumer Smart Home/IoT platform. At Comcast, they played a key role in a high-profile acquisition (Time Warner Cable), leading a team and conducting their own test efforts.
From 2016 to 2019, Ginger held the position of Senior BA/QA Analyst at SEI, where they served as the lead QA for an agile development team specializing in Client Portfolio Management in the Advisor Markets. Ginger utilized testing technologies such as SOAP, Ready API, SQL, Selenium, and data-driven testing.
In 2019, Ginger joined Vanguard as a Technical Business Analyst/Quality Analyst. Ginger performed duties of a Business System Analyst, Product Test Engineer, Project Manager, and Scrum Master. Ginger was responsible for managing requirements and testing, leading a $3M project to improve the search experience on the company-wide intranet.
Finally, in 2020, Ginger worked at Greenphire as a Business Analyst/Product Owner. Here, they defined, prioritized, and evaluated the work generated by the scrum team to ensure successful delivery of valuable product features. Ginger worked closely with the Product Manager, authored vision statement documents, developed use cases, facilitated story mapping sessions, and kept abreast of Agile/Scrum best practices.
Most recently, Ginger is currently a Business Analyst at YPrime, starting in December 2020.
Ginger Phillips studied at the University of Arkansas from 1985 to 1991, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering.
