Devin Porter

Devin Porter has a diverse work experience in the field of life sciences and genetics. Devin has worked as a Founding Scientist at Zafrens, specializing in cellular analysis and understanding genetic code. Prior to that, they were a Scientist I at Universal Sequencing Technology. Devin also held the position of Director of Research Services at 3D Genomics, where they utilized advanced 3D in vitro screens for toxicology and drug development. Devin has also worked as a Senior Research Associate at PREDICTIVE BIOLOGY, INC., where they focused on exploring population genetics for drug discovery. Devin started their career as a Lab Manager/Research Associate II at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, studying the chromatin remodeling complex SWI/SNF. Before that, they were a Postbaccalaureate IRTA Fellow at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, studying gene expression and DNA methylation in smokers and pregnant women. Devin began their research career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at George Mason University, where they characterized antimicrobial peptides. Devin also has experience as an ER Medical Scribe at Scribe America, where they assisted physicians with charting and communication tasks.

Devin Porter's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biochemistry from George Mason University, which was obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to college, Devin attended Prince George High School.
