Jonathan Harris has over 25 years of work experience in the finance and technology industries. Jonathan began their career in 1992 as an Associate at Henderson Crosthwaite Institutional Brokers Limited, where they were mentored by Perry Crosthwaite and worked on a renowned piece of research with Bill Myers. In 1994, they joined ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as an Associate in UK Equities. In 1995, they were headhunted by Morgan Stanley to become Vice President in UK/European Equities and worked on the IPO of Netscape. In 1996, they were again headhunted, this time by Merrill Lynch, to become Vice President in UK/European Equities and worked with clients such as Mercury Asset Management, JP Morgan, American Express, Prudential, Rebeco, and Government of Singapore. In 1998, Jonathan founded the Gentle Stream Nursery Group, the first and largest provider of childcare services for professionals in London's square mile, which they sold in 2000. In 2004, they founded Sudden Thought Ventures and launched South Africa's first new black women's lifestyle magazine since the end of apartheid in 1994. In 2007, Media24 acquired a 50% stake in Sudden Thought Ventures, which was later acquired in full in 2009, making it a wholly owned division of Media24. In 2011, Jonathan became General Manager of Media24's Developing Market Division and Owner of Division Six Ventures. In 2013, they founded sub(x) technology, a company focused on the use of machine learning, and has been the Founder/CEO since.

Jonathan Harris attended Stockport Grammar from 1980 to 1986, and then went on to the University of Bradford where they completed a BSc Hons in Business Studies from 1986 to 1990.
