Julian Thorne

Julian Thorne has a long and varied work experience. Julian started their career in 2006 as the CEO of Dovetail Services Ltd, a business service company for magazine publishers. In 2005, they became a Board Member and Trustee of Merlin (Medical Emergency Relief International). In 2014, they founded and owned The Big Wheel Consultancy Ltd, providing marketing consultancy and data insight services to businesses and organisations. In 2016, they became Strategy Director of MarTech Tracker, a UK based sales and marketing agency. In 2017, they became Board Advisor of Zeddit and Non Executive Director of History Today Magazine. In 2020, they became Chief Customer Officer of Dennis and Board Advisor and shareholder of oneninefive. In 2021, they became Chief Customer Officer of Future and in 2022 they became Chief Operating Officer of Sub(x), a digital marketing technology company.

Julian Thorne attended the University of Leeds from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a 1st Class BA (Hons) in International History and Politics. Julian also holds a Dip DM Fellow IDM from The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing.
