What you’ll do

As a Management Accountant you will…

• Have ownership of the full month end accounting across all group entities including, but not limited to, Cost of Sales Calculations, Accruals, Prepayments, Overhead analysis and postings and intercompany journals.
• Prepare monthly management accounts - including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow across all entities and against budget/forecasts with commentary.
• Oversight of monthly reporting - responsible for presenting revenue and margins by Client/operator and operating expenses by supplier/Pod.
• Prepare and own monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying any risks and liaising with Senior Finance Manager and Head of Finance as necessary.
• Ownership of payroll processing, liaising with People Pod and outsourced payroll provider/3rd party software. Providing analysis of month on month movements and preparing monthly journals for posting.
• Review and approve monthly VAT return prepared by outsourced accountants
• Work closely with the other members of the Finance Pod ensuring the accuracy and integrity of entries into our accounting software
• Assist with the annual audit process, liaising directly with the audit team
• Maintain and consistently seek to improve financial controls as the business scales
• Support with growth initiatives including expansion of our US business, potential new product launches (e.g. SAAS) and potential M&A activity.

Must Haves:

• Excellent self-motivation and organisational skills
• Track record of process improvement and automation
• Advanced excel capabilities - Pivots, lookups and ability to manipulate large data sets
• Collaborative, personable and able to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance pods
• CIMA / ACA / ACCA Qualification preferred (part qualified considered)
