Location: London HQ

As a People Business Partner, you’ll work across our regions globally, supporting all our business functions and will work across various management levels, ensuring that operational People services and products are aligned to business initiatives to enable Zeelo to deliver the best experience for its customers.

You will manage and ensure delivery of regular people activities such as culture initiatives, performance management, leadership training, well being and engagement.

Where in the world of Zeelo will I be working

You’ll be working across the entire Zeelo group, providing advice and guidance working with an operational focus as we build for the future. We have a diverse community focussed on different types of work, with many different needs. This role will report into the Head of People working out of our London office.

What will I be doing?

You will act as a People Services expert and your role will be diverse as you provide support on complex operational people problems, deliver change initiatives such as organisational design, modernisation of working practices and take a lead role in creating the Zeelo experience in all our locations. This role will be working closely with the Head of People to understand and execute the People Plan as a trusted adviser to the Business. The role is responsible for:

Employee Experience

  • Focussing on optimising the employee experience, providing timely responses and being the general first port of call for Zeeloites’ People queries
  • Championing employee experience through coaching People Leaders across a number of areas
  • Supporting the business with building a great place to work with enhancing engagement levels, belonging, driving cultural initiatives to improve business performance and embedding Net Zero into our ways of working
  • Owning wellbeing processes and initiatives globally
  • Overseeing the onboarding processes to ensure the People team are facilitating a seamless and effective onboarding experience for all new Zeeloites
  • Collect and analyse data through engagement surveys, continuous insight and feedback to provide recommendations on how to improve and innovate our everyday people experience
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of internal and external requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, actively reducing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance in our regions

Employee Relations

  • Overseeing and advising on performance management processes across the global organization to ensure fairness and consistency

  • Working as a trusted advisor to the business on all things People related

  • Owning and managing all Employee Relations cases across all regions

  • Office management responsibilities to ensure our London HQ Zeeloites have the best time in the office, from ordering snacks to liaising with contractors for maintenance works

  • Organising social events

Is This Job For Me?

Ideally you’ll have / be:

  • CIPD Level 5
  • A background in Operational HR practices within a global organisation
  • Experience of building people infrastructure (processes / ways of working) with scaling organisations
  • The desire to work with employees to establish a great experience throughout the employee lifecycle
  • A great listener who enjoys interacting with others and is open to feedback
  • Experience in handling a case load of employee relations including disciplinary, dismissals, grievances, etc
  • Able to manage and influence at all levels utilising a flexible approach to meet the needs of the audience, including the capacity to coacvh people leaders at Zeelo
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders globally
  • Experience working in a fast-growth, fast-paced environment e.g. tech startup or scale-up,venture capital, etc would be helpful as things at Zeelo can change fast
  • Ability to appropriately question, influence and advise to ensure the business assess & understand the impacts of decisions on all people
